About SoukLocal
SoukLocal is a UAE marketplace for licence-checked local businesses. We start in Dubai with renovation, fit-out and maintenance, because that is where hiring the wrong business costs most and where checking a licence now matters by law. Customers find verified businesses and reach them on WhatsApp; businesses get a trusted profile and real enquiries.
Why we built it
A souk works because you know who you are dealing with. Finding a contractor online in the UAE rarely feels like that: listings are unchecked, reviews are hard to trust, and the rules on who may do what keep changing. SoukLocal brings the souk's trust online, one neighbourhood and one trade at a time.
What we are building
- A directory of local businesses where every Verified listing shows what we checked and when.
- Reviews tied to real jobs, with the business's reply beside them.
- WhatsApp-first contact and quote requests to up to 3 matching businesses.
- Tools that help small businesses get online: a profile, a catalogue and help with marketing.
- Plain-English guides with sources, so customers know the rules before they hire.
Vertical first
We are not trying to list everything at once. We launch with construction, renovation and property services in Dubai, get them right, then add more trades and emirates.
How we stay neutral
Ranking is never for sale, paid placements will always be labelled, and any business connected to SoukLocal's owners will be disclosed and follow the same rules as everyone else. Read our neutrality rules.
