This notice explains how SoukLocal, operated by SHORIQ TECH LLC (Licensed in Shams, Sharjah, UAE), handles personal data when you use souklocal.ae or contact us. We follow the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

What we collect

• When you send a project request: your name, mobile number, optional email, the work you need, your community or area, budget band, timeline and any details you add.
• When a business signs up: business name, trade, areas served, optional trade licence number, and the contact person's name, mobile and optional email.
• When you message us on WhatsApp or email: the content of your messages and your contact details.
• When you browse: standard technical data such as IP address and browser type, processed by our hosting provider for security and performance. We do not use advertising cookies.

Why we use it

• To respond to you and handle your request or sign-up.
• For project requests: to connect you with up to 3 verified businesses that serve your area, once they are live, with your consent.
• For businesses: to verify your licence and register status and to set up your listing.
• To keep the platform secure and to meet legal obligations.

We contact you on WhatsApp, phone or email only because you asked us to and gave consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP on WhatsApp or by contacting us.

Who we share it with

• Verified businesses you asked us to connect you with, limited to what they need to respond.
• Service providers that run our website and forms on our behalf, such as website hosting and form delivery.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep request and sign-up data for as long as needed to handle them and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless the law requires longer or you ask us to delete it sooner.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or a copy, and you can object to direct marketing at any time. Contact us through our contact page.

Changes

We will post any changes to this notice on this page with a new date.
