Complaint about a contractor that is not on SoukLocal?

1. Write to the contractor first, by email or letter, not only by phone: what is wrong, what you want done, and a reasonable deadline. Attach photos. Keep the contract, quotes, invoices and payment records.
2. For defects in a new home, send the developer a written defects notice within the defects period. Our handover kit builds the list.
3. Get an independent report from an engineer or inspector if the dispute is about workmanship. Our quality checks by trade show what good work looks like.
4. Know the limits of consumer complaints. Dubai's consumer rights service covers many service disputes, but it lists construction and contracting disputes among the exclusions. For larger contracting disputes, take legal advice.
